Information regarding the 2019 Season

Hello parents, the season is quickly approaching and we are in the final stretch of preseason prep-work. We wanted to provide a quick update and run through a few things, especially for those who are new to the league. We’ll touch on rosters, schedules and opening day.

Opening Day: The parade has been confirmed by the town for April 27th. There is no rain date at this point, we’ll have an additional parade communication soon. The fields are open now, some teams have started practices. Parade starts at 10 am across from Jazzercise and ends at Plains Park. Everyone is to meet at 9:30 at the start of the parade.

This year we arranged all games to take place in two start times: 11:30am and 1:30pm. The schedule will be published soon for opening day. Tee Ball will start at 11:30 and will have a short 30 minute practice to start the season. There will be food and vendors at the field for opening day, stay tuned for more information.

Teams: All teams have been finalized and your manager should have reached out by now. Your managers will be your point of contact for all the information you need. There are only a few spots remaining in Tee-Ball and Farm. We also have a spot or two in A-AAA, please email us if interested; ASAP.

Schedules: This year, the board voted to add more emphasis on practice. We’ve been working this off-season on practice plans and we’ve reduced mid week games for some divisions.

Every division plays Saturdays, those times are set each week; times are below. Opening day will have a compacted schedule so everyone plays within a shorter window following the parade.

Majors and AAA have mid-week games: majors are Tuesday and Thursday. AAA are Monday’s.

There are no Saturday games on Memorial Day weekend for all divisions.

Majors, AAA and AA play inter-league with the national league. These games are played on weeknights at Plains and Tapley fields.

Midweek games start at 5:30 then with more daylight, 5:45. Tapley starts at 5:15!!!

Single A will add a mid-week game or two later in the season. Farm and tee-ball only play games on Saturdays. We are still discussing rescheduling.

Practices are determined by the team’s manager and may change week to week.

Here’s a typical Saturday, times are subject to change:
Tee-ball: 10:30 am
Farm: 1 pm
A: 11:30 am
AA: 1:30 pm
AAA: 3:30 pm
Majors: 5:30 pm
